Dr. Stephanie Clauss, VMD

Dr. Stephanie Clauss grew up in nearby Perry Township, just outside of Portersville.  She graduated from the Ellwood City School District in 1997.  After graduation, she went to undergraduate school at Penn State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Bioscience in 2001.  She then went to veterinary school and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation, Dr. Clauss moved to central New Jersey where she practiced at the Raritan Animal Hospital for 7 years, then the Animal Hospital at Kingston and Blawenburg for 2 years. In 2014, she returned home to Western Pennsylvania. She was an associate veterinarian at Avalon Veterinary Hospital and Big Rock Veterinary Hospital until 2021. She is extremely excited to provide care here at Crescent Ridge Veterinary Hospital here in beautiful Zelienople where she enjoys this wonderful community. 

Dr. Clauss’ professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, surgery and dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Clauss enjoys spending time with her family, especially her amazing daughters and mom – a.k.a. Grandma Peggy. She also enjoys cooking, reading, supporting her daughters’ basketball team, tinkering in foraging, exploring restaurants, and hiking. Along with her family, Dr. Clauss shares her home with many animals – currently two dogs, five cats, a small flock of chickens, and a pond full of goldfish.
